Lip Fillers

Lip Filler Tauranga

Instantly enhance your natural lips. Lip filler is a popular treatment to restore and enhance lip contours and add volume.

Genetics and internal and external factors all play a part in the volume of your lips and this lip volume invariably decreases over time. Lip filler can give greater definition, a fuller lip and minimise fine lines at the lip’s edge.

How Does Lip Filler Work?

At Shape Studio, we use STYLAGE® dermal fillers for lip enhancement treatments to add volume, shaping and hydration with results typically lasting 6-12 months.

A distinguishing feature of this line of fillers is the presence of mannitol, a type of sugar incorporated into the gel with the purpose to act as an antioxidant. The incorporated mannitol aims to slow the degradation and provide extra protection against the action of free radicals.

STYLAGE® dermal fillers also contain Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that provides more comfort during and after treatment. We provide the optional extra for a topical anaesthetic to be applied 20 minutes prior for those clients with concerns about discomfort.

Lip Filler

FAQ's

How long do lip fillers last?

Results typically last anywhere between 6 and 12 months before requiring a touch-up or additional treatment. However, the longevity of the results can depend on factors such as the individual's metabolism, lifestyle habits, and the amount of lip filler used during the initial treatment.

Are lip fillers painful?

During the procedure, you may experience some discomfort, however, we do recommend the optional topical anaesthetic that will make a significant difference to your comfort level. Our skilled practitioners do everything they can to make the lip filler treatment as comfortable as possible for you.

Are there any risks associated with lip fillers?

As with any medical procedure, there are some risks associated with lip fillers including, bleeding and pain at the injection sites, cold sore reactivation, discolouration or tenderness, infection, tissue death and asymmetrical lips. However, not to worry, at Shape Studio our trained technicians follow the proper protocols to minimise these risks.

How soon can I see results after lip filler treatment?

Our clients can expect to see visible results immediately after the lip filler treatment, with the full effects settling in over a week or two.

How often do I need to get lip fillers?

To maintain your lip filler results, you will need to schedule touch-up appointments every 6 to 12 months, depending on how quickly your body metabolises the filler.

Can lip fillers be removed?

In the rare case that you are unsatisfied with your results or experience any complications, our qualified providers can use hyaluronidase to dissolve the lip filler material. This is a delicate procedure that should only be performed by a trained professional to ensure your safety and optimal results.
