At Shape Studio, we use Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers for lip-enhancing treatments. We choose the lip filler fit for purpose (we prefer STYLAGE®); a softer, finer filler for subtle results or a slightly firmer filler for a more voluminous result.
Does it hurt?
As you can imagine, the lip area is a sensitive area, and while you do feel the scratch of the needle, modern Dermal Fillers contain Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that provides more comfort during and after treatment.
We also provide the optional extra for a topical anaesthetic to be applied 20 minutes prior for those clients with concerns about discomfort.
Dermal Filler Lip Results
You will see immediate results after your lip filler treatment, but it can take a week or two for the filler to soften and feel completely natural.
It is not uncommon to experience some swelling and bruising (mild in nature) that should subside within 2-5 days.
Results generally last anywhere between 6 and 12 months

Contains transparent cross-linked sodium hyaluronate gel of non-animal origin with lidocaine 0.3% to reduce local pain.

Cautions: people with autoimmune disease, or who are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18 years of age or have an increased susceptibility to keloid formation and hypertrophic scarring. People on blood thinning medicines.
